5+ STARS!!! If I could give it six stars, I would.

It’s hard to explain exactly what made this book so special. Maybe it was Casey’s relationship with Gus, her little boy. It reminded me of my early days with my son. She even called him “bubba” and “bubs,” just like I did (and still do). I can’t even imagine going through the struggles she went through while raising a small child on her own. Casey’s strength was inspiring. I fell in love with her character immediately, and also “dewey” (jewelry) loving Gus. He was absolutely adorable and I want to pick him up and squish him! (don’t you dare tell me he’s not real!!)

Then there was Jay. Ultimate book boyfriend material. He provided for Casey through everything he was going through in his own life, even though there was no reason why he should need to. He just wanted to be there. He wanted her, and he wanted Gus.

There’s so much I could say about this book, from the hot moments between Jay and Casey to the moments that made me ugly cry (and I NEVER ugly cry over books, I hate crying as a concept). Suffice it to say you MUST pick up this book, even if you’re not a huge fan of magicians or magic tricks. Jay the “Magic Man” will win you over. Trust me on this.

I can’t wait to read the rest of the Good Guys novels!!

A short, but magical and enjoyable read!

The Latched Key is a wonderful debut by Arya Edward. The world she creates sucks you right in and won’t let you go until the end. Sebastian/Seba and Aurora were wonderful characters that endeared me to them instantly.

Sebastian/Seba’s struggles were relatable, and I felt they were handled well considering the subject matter. Aurora was the sweetest, most innocent and yet naughty unicorn shifter. Shifter romance isn’t normally my thing, but I really enjoyed this take on it. The author covered real-world issues in this book and still managed to blend them into a fantasy setting.

I look forward to reading ALL of her future works.

PAX AND NERDLET!!!!!

This story was so freaking adorable, and yet it was also a scorching hot burn all the way through. I literally inhaled this book in 3 straight hours of reading.

The instant Pax saw grown-up Elijah, I was completely hooked. The heat, passion, and desire between these two men was almost tangible. Poor Elijah aka “Einstein” doubted himself so much. I really related to him and was rooting for him all the way through. Pax made me mad a couple of times, but he’s so damn hot, who wouldn’t forgive him?

5 OMG-I-NEED-TO-READ-MORE-BY-THIS-AUTHOR stars!

P.S. – I re-read parts of it after writing this review because it was just THAT damn good. Bravo 🙌
